Simjo consists of founders Martijn Jongen and Richard van Milt, both also working as seasoned project managers in construction and infrastructure. Simjo was founded in 2023 out of frustration about the lack of clear and simple tools for integral adjustments to time, scope and budget. Simjo is a clear digital tool for construction project managers and project teams.
We see technological developments in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) as a unique opportunity for our field. Almost every aspect of project management will have to deal with this. So this is also part of our journey and our software.

Martijn and Richard got to know each other at Primaned. Simplex Consultants was born in 2019 from our shared vision on project management. In recent years, we have fulfilled assignments as a duo or individually in the field of project management, especially for large programs and projects in construction and infrastructure. Consider, for example, the Amsterdam Bridges and Quays Program, the Afsluitdijk, dyke improvements for several water boards, the ERTMS Program Directorate, University Areas and UMCs.
That turned out to be a good move, because the impact of our input was recognized by our clients. Whether it concerned governments such as Rijkswaterstaat, the Netherlands Police or the Brabantse Delta Water Board, or companies such as Van Oord, Bam & Rebel.
Despite disruptive events, such as the outbreak of Covid-19 and the war in Ukraine, Simplex Consultants’ order growth only increased. This also raised the question of how we could offer even more added value to clients.
Because experience has shown that our clients in construction and infrastructure struggle day in and day out with obtaining relevant and accurate project information. A lot of working time is lost internally and externally on the exchange of (management) information. Simjo therefore offers a simple solution where construction project managers and their project teams can integrally adjust their project through linked information about budget, time and scope.
